Waste Box - 660 gallon waste collection unit with dual IBC totes and dual sewage pumps

Purpose-Built Waste Collection

Office trailers, shower trailers, and restroom trailers all generate waste — but most construction sites have no sewer connection. That means pump trucks on call, unpredictable service windows, and the constant risk of a backup that shuts down your trailer.

The Waste Box eliminates that risk. 660 gallons of collection capacity across dual IBC totes, with dual sewage pumps and a two-basin auto-spillover system that keeps waste flowing even if a pump fails. Connect your trailers via 2" cam lock, schedule weekly pump service, and stop worrying about waste management.

  • 660-gallon capacity across dual 330-gal IBC totes
  • Dual ½–¾ HP sewage pumps (active + auto-backup)
  • Auto-spillover sump basins for zero-downtime redundancy
  • High-level alarms on basin and waste tank
  • 2" cam lock output for pump truck hookup

Dual-Sump Auto-Spillover: Zero Single-Point Failures

The Waste Box was designed around one principle: a single pump failure should never take your trailers offline.

Waste flows from both IBC totes through 2" outlets into a shared trunk line that feeds Sump Basin #1. The primary sewage pump in Basin #1 handles normal operation. If that pump fails or cannot keep up, waste automatically spills over into Sump Basin #2, where the backup pump takes over immediately — no manual intervention, no switching, no downtime.

A high-level alarm on Basin #1 alerts your crew when the primary pump needs attention. A separate high-level alarm on the waste tank itself warns when total capacity is approaching the pump-out threshold. Two independent alarm systems ensure nothing gets missed.

Redundancy Layers

Layer 1 Primary sewage pump in Basin #1 handles normal waste flow
Layer 2 Auto-spillover to Basin #2 activates backup pump on primary failure
Layer 3 Dual alarm system (basin level + tank level) provides early warning

Pumps + Basins
Auto-failover → zero downtime

How the Waste Box Works

From delivery to continuous waste collection in three steps. Weekly pump service handles the rest.

1

Deploy

Position the Waste Box adjacent to your office trailer, shower trailer, or restroom trailer using a forklift (fork pockets, must be empty) or wheel kit. Connect the DOT battery for alarm operation. No shore power required.

2

Connect

Attach your trailer's waste discharge to the Waste Box via 2" cam lock fittings. Waste gravity-feeds through the trunk line into the sump basins. For larger deployments, daisy-chain up to 3 Waste Boxes via cam lock connections.

3

Service Weekly

A pump truck connects to the 2" male cam lock pump-out port with a drop tube that reaches the sump bottom. Standard weekly pump service keeps your site running. The high-level alarm provides advance warning if capacity is reached before the next scheduled service.

Use Cases

The Waste Box was designed for construction site applications where sewer connections are unavailable and reliable waste collection is non-negotiable.

🏢

Office Trailer Waste

Collect sink and restroom waste from construction office trailers without a sewer hookup. Dual-pump redundancy ensures your office stays operational even during pump maintenance windows.

🚿

Shower Trailer Waste

Handle high-volume greywater from shower trailers during peak morning and evening usage. 660-gallon capacity supports extended intervals between pump-outs on moderate-traffic sites.

🏗

Remote Sites Without Sewer

Pipeline projects, rural construction, and temporary facilities with no sewer infrastructure. Battery-powered alarms operate independently — the Waste Box works anywhere you can position a trailer.

Waste Box FAQ

Standard service is weekly pump-out, but frequency depends on site usage. A single office trailer with moderate restroom traffic may go longer between services. High-usage sites with shower trailers may require more frequent pump-outs. The high-level alarm on the waste tank provides advance warning before capacity is reached, so you can schedule service proactively rather than reactively.
The dual-sump auto-spillover system handles it automatically. When the primary pump in Basin #1 cannot keep up or fails entirely, waste spills over into Basin #2 where the backup pump activates. Your trailers continue operating without interruption. The high-level alarm on Basin #1 alerts your crew that the primary pump needs attention, giving you time to schedule maintenance without an emergency call.
The 2" male cam lock pump-out port includes a drop tube that reaches the sump bottom, allowing complete drainage for winterization. For sites operating through winter, heat tape on exposed plumbing and insulation wrapping are recommended. The IBC totes and sump basins should be fully drained if the unit will be stored in sustained below-freezing temperatures. Contact us for winterization guidance specific to your region.
Typical office trailer usage generates 20–50 gallons per day depending on crew size and restroom frequency. Shower trailers can generate 100–200+ gallons per day depending on stall count and usage duration. At 660 gallons total capacity, a standard office trailer can operate for over a week between pump-outs. For high-traffic sites, daisy-chain up to 3 Waste Boxes for 1,980 gallons of total collection capacity.
