Water Box - 660 gallon freshwater supply unit with dual IBC totes

Purpose-Built Freshwater Supply

The Water Box solves a problem every construction PM knows: office trailers, shower trailers, and restroom trailers need pressurized water, but there is no off-the-shelf solution that works without a municipal connection or a water truck on call.

This unit delivers 660 gallons of freshwater at 20 GPM through a battery-powered Moro DC-10 pump. Deploy it next to your trailers, connect via 1" cam lock, and forget about it until the next scheduled refill. No generator. No electrician. No daily driver.

  • 660-gallon capacity across dual 330-gal IBC totes
  • Moro DC-10 pump: 12V, approximately 20 GPM
  • Deep-cycle battery — operates without shore power
  • 20-gallon pressure tank for consistent output
  • 100 gallons filled in 10 minutes or less

How the Water Box Works

From delivery to continuous pressurized water in three steps. No infrastructure required.

1

Deploy

Position the Water Box adjacent to your office trailer or shower trailer using a forklift (fork pockets, must be empty) or wheel kit. Battery-powered operation — no shore power connection needed. Unit arrives pre-filled or can be filled on-site.

2

Connect

Attach the 1" cam lock output to your trailer's water inlet. The 20-gallon pressure tank maintains consistent pressure. For larger deployments, daisy-chain up to 3 Water Boxes — tanks equalize automatically through bottom 2" connections.

3

Refill on Schedule

Monitor water levels and schedule refills based on your site's consumption rate. At 100 gallons per 10 minutes fill rate, a full 660-gallon refill takes approximately one hour. Float valve protects the pump from dry-run damage between refills.

Daisy-Chain: Scale to 1,980 Gallons

Connect up to 3 Water Boxes using 2" cam lock connections between units. The tanks equalize through bottom connections — water levels balance automatically across all connected totes without any additional pumps or valves.

This means you can start a project with one Water Box and add capacity as the site grows. Same cam lock fittings. Same 1" output to trailers. Same pump. Just more water.

Capacity Planning

1 Unit 660 gallons — single office trailer or small shower trailer
2 Units 1,320 gallons — multiple office trailers or 2x 8-stall shower trailers
3 Units 1,980 gallons — large-scale construction site with multiple trailer types
3x
Daisy-Chain Capacity
660 → 1,320 → 1,980 gal

Use Cases

The Water Box was designed for construction site applications where municipal water is unavailable, impractical, or too expensive to connect.

🏢

Office Trailer Water Supply

Pressurized freshwater for sinks, coffee makers, and restrooms in construction office trailers. Replaces bottled water and eliminates the need for temporary municipal hookups.

🚿

Shower Trailer Feed

20 GPM output feeds two 8-stall shower trailers simultaneously. Deep-cycle battery ensures uninterrupted water pressure during peak morning and evening shower schedules.

🏗

Remote Site Water

Battery-powered operation means the Water Box works anywhere — no generator, no electrical hookup, no municipal connection. Deploy on remote construction sites, pipeline projects, or temporary facilities.

Modular Pump Plate System

The Water Box uses a standardized modular pump plate that eliminates downtime during pump failures. The entire pump assembly mounts on a ~12" x 12" board with 4 bolts and a 12V 2-pin electrical plug.

Swap Procedure

  • Disconnect 12V 2-pin plug from the pump plate
  • Remove 4 bolts securing the plate to the frame
  • Lift out the failed pump plate assembly
  • Drop in the replacement pump plate
  • Secure 4 bolts and reconnect 12V plug
  • Total time: less than 15 minutes

Design Advantages

  • No plumbing disconnection required
  • No electrician required — plug-and-play connection
  • Field crew performs the swap with basic hand tools
  • Same plate format across Water Box and Complete Box
  • Spare plates can be pre-staged on-site
  • 100% poly electrical board on aluminum tubes resists corrosion

Water Box FAQ

Battery runtime depends on pump duty cycle. For typical office trailer usage (intermittent draw for sinks and restrooms), the battery lasts several days without shore power. For high-demand applications like continuous shower trailer feed, connect the 110V shore power option to maintain charge. The power-loss alarm (red light + beeper) alerts your crew before the battery reaches critical level.
The Water Box fills at 100 gallons in 10 minutes or less, depending on your water source pressure. A complete 660-gallon refill takes approximately one hour. For sites with lower source pressure, fill times may be slightly longer. The float valve prevents overfill and protects the pump from dry-run conditions.
The Water Box is designed for three-season operation. In freezing conditions, heat tape or insulation wrapping is recommended for exposed plumbing lines. The IBC totes and pump assembly should be drained or winterized if the unit will be exposed to sustained below-freezing temperatures. Contact us for winterization guidance specific to your climate zone.
Water quality depends on your source. The Water Box stores and delivers whatever water you put into it. If you fill with potable municipal water, the output is potable. The IBC totes are food-grade rated. For non-municipal sources, water testing and treatment are the responsibility of the site operator.
